Characters

Our experience includes design, modeling, texturing, rigging, getting content in various game engines, animating, creating collision meshes for location damage, experience with bounding boxes, per polygon material effects, defining attributes through proprietary file management, creating fitting armor and clothing to interact and deform properly with existing base mesh.

Weapons

After authoring 3 first person shooters and having worked on others, we’ve learned a lot about weapons. We have a huge resource library of reference material on hand, and have much experience creating real world and fantasy weapons, with full functionality of moving parts and realistic reloading and firing mechanisms. Having served in the military, Joel's knows what a weapon feels like, shoots like, and how to operate them realistically. This experience translates into our work.

Environment Art

We’ve made about everything you can imagine. From futuristic factories with large moving pumps and pistons to real worlds with interactive and breakable objects, medieval castles, we’ve done it all. Furniture, lighting, signs, industrial equipment, commercial office furniture, medieval castles and dungeon props, outdoor objects such as foliage and trees, street signs and traffic lights, sidewalks, curbs, road barriers, park benches, houses and buildings. We’ve done modular tiling sets too. We have experience making modular tile sets as well.

Texturing

From skinning to wall textures to icons and graphics, we can create very realistic textures that not only look good by themselves, but work well as a set and augment each other to create a fantastic theme.. We can match existing styles or establish a whole new look to really make your game stand out..

Level Design

Good level design is critical for game play, flow and is the glue that holds everything together. Our games always got top reviews on the levels, we are meticlous about all aspects of good level design. From BSP, to portals, to cells, we know proper level and scene management techniques. We’re very experienced with various object occlusion methods, rendering pipelines and level design methods and tools. We've taken levels that were performing poorly, doubled the polygon count and doubled the frame rate.

Rendering

Need a promotional render to give your project an edge? We've got a lot of experience posing characters and lighting scenes to make your game really stand out.

Animation & Rigging

We've animated weapons, characters, props, monsters and beasts. If it moves, we can rig & animate it. We have experience using bones, physique, skin, and biped for 3DSMAX.

Particle Effects

Need a dazzling effect for your game? Or just some nice effects that don't break the framerate bank? Look no further, we have created thousands of particle effects over the years and know that the difference between a mediocre effect and an amazing effect can make all the difference in the oomph your game has. A good particle effect not only looks good, but don't slow your framerate to a crawl either.

Have a bunch of content and noone with the brains to put it all together or get everything in the game and working? Product Documentation & Tutorials

Having created two engines from scratch, and some online only projects, we've written our share of documentation and tutorials. Good documentation is well worth the investment, as it will save you time in the future when new people come on board and in the rare case you forget something.

We're always looking for ways to improve the art path and game production pipelines, or in everything we do really. Time is money, so developing solutions for problems is our business. Game design & Consultation

Having designed 3 games and two engines, we’ve learned a few things about design. Knowing what is possible and knowing what is probable are two different arts. If you need help getting your project signed by a publisher a winning design document is a huge part of that. Let us help you get your project polished and signed by a publisher.

Graphic design and layout

Joel's father had his own sign company, so he grew up around layout, art and commercial logo design and production. Later Joel helped in the transition from hand painted signs and hand drawn logos to computer generated graphics and use of plotters in the sign company.
